A battery lug that will not pull down flat is almost always the lug, not the terminal. Ends crimped with pliers go oval, sit proud of the post and cook under load. These arrive already terminated at both ends, in a short 1 ft length made for the jump from a battery to an inverter, isolator or busbar.
Terminated at the factory, not in the driveway
Each end carries a 5/16 in ring terminal in tinned copper, with heat shrink already fitted over the barrel where the lug meets the insulation. That removes the two steps most likely to go wrong on a home build: a hydraulic crimper you probably do not own, and a sealed transition that keeps moisture out of the strand ends. Tinning is what slows the white bloom that grows on bare copper near a vented battery, and it is why the supplier calls out oxidation resistance on the lugs specifically.
The ratings this set does not carry
Heavy cable is only as safe as the current it is allowed to pass, and the source is silent on that figure. No ampacity, no insulation temperature rating, no voltage rating and no strand count appear anywhere in the listing. On a cable meant to sit between a battery and an inverter that is a genuine gap, because correct sizing depends on the load, the run length and the temperature the cable will see, not on the gauge by itself. Size and fuse the circuit from your inverter's own documentation.
Key features
- Lugs on both ends: ready to bolt down straight out of the packet, no crimping tool needed.
- 5/16 in ring terminals: match the stud size before ordering, as inverter and isolator studs vary.
- Tinned copper terminals: supplier states improved corrosion and oxidation resistance over bare copper.
- Flexible PVC jacket: lets 2 AWG turn inside a battery box without fighting the bend.
- Red and black supplied: one positive and one negative in the set, so polarity stays obvious later.

Check the rating before you load it
- No current rating is published for this cable. Do not size a circuit from the gauge alone. Take the continuous and surge draw from your inverter or appliance specification and have the cable and fuse sized against it.
- Fuse the positive as close to the battery as practical. A 2 AWG conductor will pass enormous fault current before anything else in the circuit reacts.
- The supplier describes the jacket as abrasion resistant, waterproof and flame retardant. No standard or test is named for any of those, so treat them as descriptions.
- Disconnect the negative terminal first when working, and keep tools clear of the positive post.
A tidy answer to the short heavy link in a dual-battery or inverter install. Measure your stud size and your run before you order.
