A 1024 x 600 panel you can actually read

Seven inches of capacitive touchscreen at 1024 x 600 keeps street names legible on a moving map rather than smudging them together. A day and night toggle drops the brightness so the panel is not throwing white light back off the windscreen after dark. Beyond CarPlay and Android Auto it mirrors an iOS or Android handset, and plays media off a TF card or USB stick.

Getting the audio into the car

A small speaker is built in, though few owners will lean on it. The FM transmitter pushes sound to the factory radio between 87.5 and 108.0 MHz, so directions arrive through the car's own speakers with nothing wired in behind the dash. Two AUX cables suit cars with an auxiliary input, a cleaner feed than FM where stations crowd the band, and RCA outputs take an active subwoofer.
