Recording the road in front

The front camera writes 4K footage to a TF card in a loop, overwriting the oldest clips once the card fills, so the footage is simply there if someone reverses into you at the shops. The supplier rates cards up to 128 GB and supplies none, so budget for a high-endurance card built for continuous video. Ordinary cards fail early under constant rewriting.

Both cameras, one screen

The included rear camera feeds an RCA input, and the display swaps to the reversing view the moment reverse is selected, which counts on a van or ute where the mirrors show nothing below the tailgate. The panel measures 241 x 107 mm, a wide and shallow shape that sits along the dash without eating into the view ahead.

Check before it goes on the dash

• The 4K figure is the front camera's, not the display's. The screen itself is 1024 x 600.
• No memory card is included, and nothing records until one is fitted.
• The title mentions GPS navigation, but there is no GPS receiver on board. It depends on your phone.
• Aftermarket unit, with no CarPlay or Android Auto certification supplied.
• The supplier quotes two different working voltages. Confirm yours before connecting anything permanently.
• Where a screen may sit on a dash varies between states. Worth confirming the local rule first.
